Organic Rhythms and Flow –
with Myra Avedon
June 3rd – 6th 2020 in Gothenburg, Sweden
All forms of life pulsate from the microcosm of a single cell amoeba to the macrocosm of planets, stars, and galaxies. Movement began as vibration creating form. At some level of consciousness our cells remember this. We continue to have this underlying vibrational and fluid movement within our body rhythms. Everything within us moves, even in stillness there is a continuation of internal movement. Our heart beats, our body breathes, and our organs and fluids carry varying qualities of rhythms and flow.
Our ability to move and be moved, as in active and passive movements is referred to as our mobility. This refers to the potential free movement of our muscles, skeletal joints, as well as our organs and other body tissues. For greater ease of mobility its helpful to have flexibility and balanced tone in our tissues and an ability to slide in the joint spaces between our bones and organs. Ease of movement also includes our ability to lubricate our joints and tissue layers with our fluids. Our innate often subconscious natural movement, which begins from our time in the womb and continues throughout our life in healthy states of being, is referred to as motility. Motility is also referred to as our underlying automatic or intrinsic movement. Allowing these natural organic rhythms, and generating fluidity and flow, helps support ease of movement, health, and well being.
In this workshop we will explore organic rhythms and flow through guided movement and hands on facilitation exploring both mobility and motility within our organs. We will also look at relevant relational themes and emotional qualities with regard to our organs and fluids to help better understand ourselves and others. Interacting with others with a heightened sensibility as we explore this material can offer insights into new ways of being and relating, as well as stimulate a natural enjoyment in our movement and life.
Daily themes: Please note the suggested plan below could change, based on what is present when we meet:
Day One – Guided movement and meditations for experiencing qualities of organic rhythms, flow, and spacial relationships. Potentially expanding range of possibilities in movement while exploring a natural enjoyment and ease of moving.
Day Two – Centering within our internal organs and fluids and transmitting this embodied sense of core presence with others. Exploring the underlying support of organic rhythms and flow qualities in meeting and hands on facilitation, and working with breath and vibration in relation to organs.
Day Three – Exploring inner and outer layers of tissues and fluids, mobility and motility of our organs, and balancing our organs and fluids in relation to gravity and anti-gravity.
Day Four – Integration into personal practices. Relating what we explored together and looking at how we can apply this in our daily life. Bridging relevant relational themes and emotional qualities to better understand and relate to ourselves and others.
This is an advanced workshop for teachers, practitioners, facilitators, meditators, and experienced movers who enjoy embodied presence.

I encourage people to contact Myra directly through email if you want to book a session.
Myra’s individual sessions are unique with each person, because it is not based on a single technique or one specific model. She looks for supporting ease and flow and pulls from a wide range of experience and training to best meet each presenting situation. Thus each session is a co-creative process developed with the person in the moment to best meet the need of the moment. Sessions include self help tools that people can take with them and feel supported by in their daily life.
Myra’s sessions will be offered to participants in the workshop for 110€ per hour, for people outside the workshop it will be a cost of 125€ per hour for sessions. When traveling, Myra hopes to arrange to see the people wanting to work individually and scheduling ahead makes this more possible.
